John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

ACCESS TO AN OVERCOMING LIFEby David Wilkerson

When Jesus walked the earth, He made Himself accessible to the whole population. He taught in synagogues, on hillsides, on boats. He healed the sick, performing wonders and miracles. He lifted His voice at the feasts, crying, “I am the living water. Come to Me, and I will satisfy your thirsty soul.” Anyone could draw near to Him and be satisfied.
But our Lord’s invitation was mostly ignored. He cried over the people, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” ( Matthew 23:37). He was saying to Israel, “I’m here now, available to you. I’ve told you to come to me for healing and to have your needs met. But you won’t come.”
How did Jesus respond to the people’s rejection of Him? He declared, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate” (23:38). The word Jesus uses for desolate here signifies loneliness, waste, unfruitfulness. He said, “Your church life, your household, your spiritual walk—they are all going to dry up and die.”
Think about it. If parents don’t seek God daily, their children certainly won’t. Instead, their home will be filled with worldliness, spiritual barrenness, a loneliness beyond description. Eventually, that family will end up in total desolation.
Keep in mind, Jesus spoke these warnings in a day of grace. He added, “Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:39). The meaning here is, “I’ve given you all the access you need to live an overcoming life. But you’ve ignored My offer. I’m sorry, but your decision is going to bring desolation to your life and home. And you won’t see Me again until eternity.”
When was the last time you came to God to find everything you needed for life? Were you in trouble, facing a crisis with your family, your job, your health? There’s nothing wrong with appropriating access to God in times of severe need. Isaiah writes, “Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them” (Isaiah 26:16). The Psalmist testifies, “I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble” (Psalm 142:1-2).

10th lesson : God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

First part of Lesson:

Adolescence in Christ.

Is the Maturing phase.

In the phase of maturity is the time when we begin to understand that we make mistakes; and we have to assume the fact that we are no longer absent of being guilty. In the adult phase we are conscious of good and evil. Adult phase is the same condition that Adam and Eve were in, after they had eaten of the tree from which God said: "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die" – Gn. 2:17.
In the “Perfect in Christ” phase as the Bible tells us about Jesus; it is the phase where we see that, love and mercy bring us to God. Cl. 1:28-29 “We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me”.
Dictionary says that "Meaning of Sin” is: Transgression of the law of God or the commandments of the Church".

Sin is a Transgression of the law of God. God begins to work with the human being before he is formed, and we have several passages that show us this. The psalmist tells us that when he was still formless substance God knew already all his days, when there were any of them yet. "Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be". Ps. 139:16. God speaks to Jeremiah, Jr. 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations".
God prepares the purpose to be lived in our lives with Him. God has a very high purpose in bringing us here to earth; he demonstrates that for each one of us.
There was a time when a servant of God told us in his sermons about difficult experiences he went through and said: "I am just telling you because I know in the future you will go through similar lessons, and then you can learn from my mistakes so that you do not need to repeat them; learning it the hard way". I laughed when I heard this. Now, I understand what he wanted to teach us. "It would be nice if I could warn others and perhaps with it teach them so they will not repeat the same mistakes I did". Well we try it our way, thinking we got it all together, and then what happens? Mysteriously, we go through the same lessons the person who kindly warned or taught us.

As I pondered on this, God taught me something very important. It is good that humans make mistakes, and I thought and meditated allot about it. I reached the conclusion that we are only aware of the fact that we are vessels of clay, when we fall apart underneath our burden; in the hands of our Creator. God told Moses to raise his hands and while his hands were lifted up, his people were conquering the enemy in the war. When he got tired of keeping the hands up, and lowered them slowly; they started to be defeated.
This symbolizes as long as we praise God we triumph in struggles. But when we feel exhausted under the burden of praise we slowly lower our hands (attitudes), due to sustaining the load for a long time. We do not realize that the overwhelming burden is lowering our hands that are in an attitude of worship; from the position they first were in, even though we did not want to. God saw that the burden was too heavy and sent two companions to hold Moses´ hands, so that he would not stop being in an attitude of worship before God. Gods´ people cannot reach victory with another attitude, besides adoration and gratitude, acknowledging that God is their source.
I have the absolute certainty that God has a purpose to be fulfilled in everything that we are going through. I remember Jeremiah in the Bible, he was in a well; and the well did not stop him to stay focused with his eyes on the purpose that God had given him. He fulfilled his mission and it did not matter where the soldiers would put him. He proclaimed the Word of God and no one stopped him. When I was a still childlike in my faith I did not know the truths of the Bible as I now know. I had to grow in my life with God. You must also grow and mature in your walk with Him. Jeremiah was called by God when he still was young, but as he walked with God, he shows that he matured with Him in his walk.
Everyone at the stage of adolescence learns everything he knows, and also the things he does not yet know. Teachers in classrooms often repeat the following year what we learned in the previous year. Learning is a process of studying and reviewing that what exists in this world. In reading and re-reading we learn. This is the life stage of awareness, in the spiritual life; when we begin to mature we become aware of what is right and wrong, according to the Scriptures. We need to read the Scriptures and reread it in order to learn what God is teaching us.
When the human being was formed, it was created by "God is Love”. So the human being was love, as well; because it was formed in the Creators Image. He walked and lived with Love and in Love, and was with "God is Love." The persons’ life reflects whom he lives with. As we live with ourselves and with others, we face the fact that we are far from being perfect. God created us without blemish, but it was lost. When we live with our nature which has fallen of God's grace, we learn to live according to the error of this nature very fast. The Apostle teaches us: "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" 1 Co. 15:33. The apostle asks: "Why do we also expose ourselves in danger every hour?"
Did the apostle state that a person who is in Christ and that is always in contact with non-Christian friends are exposed to danger? The danger is to do the same thing as Eve did, to look at the person's life and think certainly it is good to live and do the things my friend does; this way we take the gaze off the target that God has for us. When Peter was walking on the water he did just the same. I believe that when we lose focus of the target which we followed; in this consists the danger to which we expose ourselves as the apostle speaks of here. I believe that Peter while he was walking on the water he diverted his eyes from Jesus to the problem; and so he began to sink. As his focus was now on the problem and not on the one that had the problem in his control; he sank.
According to the Collins Dictionary:
To Divert means: to follow a different route or go to a different destination than they originally intended. You can also say that someone or something diverts from a particular route or to a particular place with his eyes; where he chooses to look.
According to the Bible Peter looked at the wave and took his eye of Jesus, this is diverting your focus on which you base your walk. The Human being sinks in his life when he has no safe ground on which he stands. Jesus is the sure foundation, and if we rely on Him; we will be secure as well. We will never sink in our life’s problems if we stand on the solid rock; which is Jesus. I want you to join me in my thoughts in an analogy which came to my heart while meditating on this passage several days ago.
Read with me Matthew 14:22-32:
"22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,
24 but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down."
The fact that I want to examine with you is this: Jesus had told them to take the boat and go ahead of him unto the other side. The fishermen knew the sea, it was their working environment, and in verse 24 it says: “but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it”. They were not afraid at that moment. Mind you, it was a normal and natural scene which they were used to; all of them knew the safety a boat gives them in the middle of the fury of those waves. The disciples were in the boat, but it does not say that they were afraid in verse 24. Later on when Peter was walking on the waters, the waves were the same as before, why was he then suddenly afraid? Jesus gives us the answer to that. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" Jesus called him: you of little faith; and I believe the heart of the matter is as follows.
The faith and the confidence that we have while we are walking in a situation familiar to us, becomes too little to walk on a ground unknown to us; considering the fact that now Peter walked on water. I do not think that any of us has faith to walk on water. My faith at least is too little for that. Would you have faith like Peter had? All the other disciples stayed in the boat, none of them had the courage!! Comparing this with the spiritual realm where we are forced to rely completely in Jesus, it is necessary to have a faith that projects our confidence about the fact that Jesus is in control and can walk about this in our lives. It becomes necessary that we have faith that projects our trust upon the fact that Jesus is in control in our lives, and on this basis to walk by faith.
The Collins Dictionary says:
To Project: Verb V n, V pron-refl as n, V as n, V-ed.
If you project someone or something in a particular way, you try to make people see them in that way. If you project a particular feeling or quality, you show it in your behaviour”.
Now if we project our walk by faith it will show in our walk and behaviour. Our trust in God needs to be shown by our behaviour that we walk by faith. Peter did not feel safe because he had never walked on water before. And he answers to Jesus saying: If, it is you tell me to walk upon the waters. This is how we read it in verse 28: "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water". He had faith before he stepped out of the boat, but once he was walking on the water, as he looked to the great wave, he sank. Peter was confident in the fact that Jesus had the power to make him walk on water as well; as indeed it was true. But when he faced the fact of walking by faith upon the waters, something changed for a fraction of a minute.
Peter looked in the natural upon the circumstance that was surrounded him. As long as we are on safe ground, it is easy to have faith that we will be fine walking by faith. But, once God challenges us to walk at that stage by faith, merely walking by faith and not by sight; we hesitate. This just proves that we are human beings. Peter asked Jesus to take him up to the highest level in his walk with Him. Jesus actually wanted to teach this to them. To trust when we are in security actually is not trusting; that it is to walk by sight and not by faith. One thing is to believe that I can do something, when you reflect on this and think and observe it. However, Peter realized that he needed something else, as he walked in reality with Jesus on the water, as Jesus did.
Peter had observed Jesus perform miracles; he understood it when Jesus said I will make you fishers of men, Peter knew also that Jesus wanted to train them in the spiritual field. He dared to walk by faith. But, Peter did not yet know; that he should not take his eyes off Jesus when walking by faith. Oh hallelujahs, what a beautiful lesson we all can learn from Peters’ experience. This is exactly what is described by the author of Hebrews. 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see". I believe this was an excellent purpose to be conquered. Peter did not know it included something he did not know yet. His faith was not enough for such an adventure. We see later after Pentecost that Peter learned his lesson well. Peter learned to rely in the power of God and submit to the spiritual authority of God over him.
The most beautiful part of this passage is the fact that as soon as Jesus took Peter by the hand, he was safe again, walking in the very same water where he sank. It says in verse 32: “And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down”. The wind calmed down just after they entered into the boat. Jesus is Lord over the wind as we walk towards Him, when we turn our eyes away from Him, and when we cry out for help, as well as; when we turn back to Him in our normal walk. Jesus is always Lord over the wind, independent of the human’s reaction. When Peter returned to the boat with Jesus, as long as he looked at Jesus and was conscientious that Jesus was in control; he did not sink.
This principle also governs your life and mine. Hallelujahs!! The waves that were making Peter sink, and that were beyond the Peters control; were under Jesus’ control. There are things in this life that are above our heads, that is, beyond what we are able to control; but they are under God’s control. How many circumstances happen in which we ask "God if you are with me, then bless me in this journey". Then after a while the waves of life seem to rise and it seems like we will sink and we cry out to God in prayer: "Lord Jesus help". God answers and takes us out from the suffocation, and brings us once again in a peaceful situation in the boat of life.
The Scripture says that when Jesus entered into the boat with Peter the wind ceased. I do not know your experience, but in the past life I have seen many situations where literally Jesus calmed the waves of my life; bringing me back to the boat where it was safe again. The wind of anguish, fear, worry and so forth ceases once Jesus takes care of it for me. In Galatians 5:16 and 25 we read: "So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature". "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit". I believe that Jesus wanted to teach us a lesson by allowing Peter walk on the water; I felt as if the Holy Spirit told me: "When the human being walks in the Spirit, and lives in the Spirit, he is like Peter; walking on Jesus’ side on the water. But, when we start looking to life’s problems trying to fix everything our own way, then we tend to sink. At that moment we cry out to Jesus in prayer".
Living as a Christian (or live in spirit) and decide things our way is to walk in the flesh, instead of walking in the Spirit. We all go through this lesson, not only Peter. I just want to emphasize here that after this episode, Jesus could take Peter at ease and relaxed upon the waters back to the boat. Now how about you and I, can Jesus take us back at ease to the boat so the wind may cease? The apostle makes it very clear that we must not only live in the Spirit, but also walk in the Spirit. You might question: What is the difference in living in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit? To live and walk in the Spirit is when we have Jesus in our lives as our Lord and Savior; we pray, we seek, and we follow what we should do as Scripture says. One thing is: believing what I know God wants me to do. But, if at the time of taking action I ponder in my mind what to do, and act upon what I believe is right; that is walking in the flesh in spite of living in the Spirit.

9th lesson : God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

Infants In Christ.

Our authority is in the promise of the Word of our God, and not on our emotions. Therefore, do not depend any longer on your emotions. A Christian lives by faith (trust) and in trusting our God and His Word. A diagram of a train illustrates the relationship between the {fact} = God and His Word being the engine. {Faith} = our trust in God and his Word is the first wagon after the engine. Emotions follow after this as the other wagons in the train which are pulled by the engine and a result of it pulling the wagons in progress. A Result of our faith into action. The engine runs with a wagon or no wagon attached, but the wagons without an engine, will not move on its own. Likewise in our Christian life, we should not depend on our feelings and emotions, and yes put our trust in the Word of our God and His faithfulness.

As quoted above: "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life". The Bible also tells us that God is love. In 1 Jn. 4:16 we read: "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him".

We know the love and believe in the love God has for us. Once we know and believe, we no longer have excuses for not walking in the love. Therefore, after having the knowledge of the love of God, and believing yet not walking in it, in this case we become responsible for not corresponding to the love of our God. We only value what we are, when we have to find out that apart from God we are nothing. God allows us to go through experiences where we are forced to give up everything, and lose everything, so that God can give us everything back in double portion. God does this so that we can become aware of the fact that He is the source of all the blessings in our lives. God is there to give us life, and life in abundance as Jesus said. Job was an honest and God fearing man. But, one day Satan came to God and asked permission to take Job's blessings away, to try him.
Having read many times the book of Job, I realized that God had a high purpose to allow satan to do that. You see, when Satan has a plan, God is already there ahead of him with a much greater plan yet. The devil always acts as if he is more cunning and wise than his Creator. But, he is only Gods´ creation and not someone or something that can compare himself in action with his Creator. According to the word of our God, all angels were created by God, and were created to minister to those who will inherit salvation. "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” - Hb. 1:14. In the beginning Satan was an archangel named Lucifer, but he fell from heaven; Jesus mentions this in the New Testament. "He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven" - Lk. 10:18.
Satan wanted to have the power to destroy Job, for him to be destroyed, that he would curse against God and therefore it would be easy to take Job to hell. This, in summary was his plan. What Satan did not know at that time, is that when God allows us to be tempted; is because God has already a greater plan established. One purpose to be lived is the security that our Creator gives us that no one can rupture. When God allows the devil to take something from you, he gives something of double value to you. I believe this is the lesson, which God teaches us in the Book of Job. 'If the devil wants to take something from you, let him, I, God guarantee something even better for you.'
A purpose to be lived under the protection of our Eternal Father is to walk in "Gods’ Love". God shows us that He is in full control; we will experience the fact that God is guarding us fully from all the schemes of the enemy. Love guards us from everything and keeps us integrate as we walk and live in it. Adam and Eve were in an atmosphere in which they were completely protected if they would have remained in obedience to Love. As long as they were walking in the light of God and in obedience to him, nothing could harm them. The Bible tells us of many lives where the devil used people and circumstances to prejudice them, and harm the cause for which God had called them. I remember the life of Joseph, David, Daniel, Jeremiah and many others, in the experience of each of them "God is Love" was manifest and vindicated.
Meaning of Vindicate = v.t. Claim, demand the return of, to recover. / Claim legally require recognition. / Defender justify (in writing).
God allowed the devil to do everything that he did, for this way God triumphed in their life. My question is: "What was the purpose to be lived by them"? Oh glory, the evidence of God's character always manifests itself through His Love. God only cannot operate when the human being decides to go after a solution in which he does not ask God to take action. God is our defender, and God takes care of His children. When I think of how God guards and defends His children, my thoughts are lead to the passage which tells us that we are engraved in the palms of His hands. “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. Isaiah 49:16 - NIV.
To be in God and God in us is a much higher purpose to be lived in than what we can imagine or describe. Mine and your life is not only about: “so and so lived so many years and did this and that and that other act”. If it were so, we could be like animals and would not be any different. But, God in His Unconditional Love For Us; wants us to live in Him, and for this we were created. But, for this it is necessary to be in "God is Love" and without sin, because sin separates us from our God.

An experience I had with my own daughters was the fact which will clarify what we described above. I used to buy cans of soda. Every day they took to school, to drink during recess, to drink it with their lunch. The fact was that I had bought the exact amount for them to take every day to school, I did not have enough money to buy more than that; extra cans for drinking at home... They liked it very much, and also wanted to drink it at home. I told them: "Do not drink at home because than there will not be enough for school". While I was at work they would go to the fridge and they took a can and opened the lid just a little bit. This was enough for the fizz to come out of the can, as well as to sip it empty, and put the can back into the fridge; it still seemed to be closed. But the seal was broken, and the pop can was empty!! Now there was only air in the little pop cans.
As long as one does not open the tin can you can roll it on the floor, throw it up in the air and the drink will not come out neither will the fizz within it be released. We can throw up in the air any ware, but the soda does not leave the tin while it is sealed. Once we break the seal, the fizz comes out completely, and the air enters and the soda inside will be stale. So is our life, as long as we do not open the door to sin, our life remains integrate; meaning being whole; complete, one who has a model of behavior, in the Love that has created us. Sin is crouching at your door, in other words, it lies at the door of our hearts, and whoever will let it in, will not have dominion over it. "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it" - Gn. 4:7.

My daughters believed that if I did not see that they had opened the tin can, it was acceptable what they did. This is how satan seduces the human being to do what is not good, and sin crouches at your hearts door; desiring to have you. But, we must master it, as the Word of God says. God was teaching and disciplining Cain, but he preferred not to hear and he allowed a greater sin to master him. You can read the story in this chapter of Genesis 4, he went and committed the first murder of the land. In summary the Human Being perceives and manages to live in the love of God when it lives according to the guidelines of “God is Love” that created and established him to live therein.
God loves and He wants each of us, that was created in his image and likeness may reflect this same LOVE to his neighbour. The Apostle Paul tells us in his letter: "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me” -1 Co. 13:11.

Childhood symbolizes also the season of innocence, the season of purity in our heart. Purity is another extraordinary quality in a person's life. Pure means absence of sin. When the heart of "human being" is pure, it is because the thoughts of his heart were not contaminated with the desire to consciously choose something incorrect; that is, but you must master the thoughts in your heart. Spiritual childhood is a time where God leads us, as a shepherd cares for his sheep and takes them to the quiet waters. God cares for us, and leads us on our journey. Living in innocence or purity is something incredible, innocence is absence of guilt. The dictionary describes innocence as:
"Meaning of Innocence sf Condition of the one that does not practices evil conscientiously, to live in innocence.
/ Absence of guilt: the innocence of an accused.
/ Simplicity, purity: abusing the innocence of someone.
/ Innocent people, protect the innocent.

"Absence of guilt, purity = we will discuss these two concepts. Guiltiness according to the same dictionary tells us that the status of guilty, or culpable. Before Adam and Eve eating the fruit that was said, "You shall not eat," they were in a status of absence of culpability. No guilt and no accuser as well.
We have several phases in our spiritual life as a human being. We have the phase of innocence, maturity, adulthood and the perfect man in Christ. In the phase of innocence in our life with God we are totally protected. God leads us in His love and God guides us how to stay protected and keep this purity. God reconciles us through the Blood of the Lamb. When we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of our life, this is the age of learning, namely early childhood in our spiritual life with God in Christ. Paul writes to the Corinthians: "Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly--mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready"- 1 Co. 3:1.
Shortly after receiving God in our lives we still are used to think of it as we thought before. Paul explains this to the Church of Corinth, because there is still jealousy, strife and other feelings between the brothers, feelings which do not come from a life with God. This is a reaction in the flesh, when we act upon the impulse of our carnal nature. Paul tries to teach them to walk in the Spirit and not in the emotions of their temperament. In the previous chapter Paul explains true wisdom, the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

What he wanted to clarify to these new Christians is; now that you have the God of the universe within yourself and He knows the "wisdom of this century that no powerful men has known, for if they had known, they would never have crucified the Lord of Glory, but as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of human being the things which God has prepared for those that love him”. 1 Co.2 :8-9 (check ref in the Bible).
And he goes on saying in verse 10: “these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God”. Think about it this way, we may come to the conclusion that therefore, in this case I will never be able to be wise, because how can I have the thoughts of God and His work in me, and have all this understanding in me. The answer is through Jesus; when we receive Him as Lord and Savior of our lives. It is Jesus who works all this in us through the Holy Spirit's presence with whom we have been sealed.

8th lesson : God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

JESUS LORD AND SAVIOR

We Need To Invite And Receive Jesus As Lord And Savior Of Our Lives.
 - Jesus Christ Brings Forgiveness And Eternal Life.
Through a personal invitation we need to invite Jesus into our lives to live within us; so this way we can achieve forgiveness and eternal life. It is necessary that we recognize that we are sinners and that our sinful state separates us from our God. God goes after the human being, and the Bible presents two passages that talk about it.
The First one that I remember in which Jesus said the shepherd leaves the 99 sheep in the sheep pen, and goes after the lost sheep. It is worthwhile to meditate about this a bit. "Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." Then Jesus told them this parable: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep'- Lk. 15:1-6.
Jesus was sitting among the publicans and sinners for them to hear him, because as it says, gathered around to hear him. Jesus knew the thoughts of these people because of the elite class treated them with contempt. Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep, to explain to them that he is Jesus, the Christ; left his dwelling place in glory, came after the human being that was lost. He takes us upon his shoulders and takes us home. With his act of love, he cares and saves us, putting us on his shoulders, and He took over the responsibility of bringing us back the eternal home. And after that, Jesus dies for this human being that turned away from God, to pay the atonement price so that we might have life in spirit once again.
The other passage is Revelation 3:20 we read the following:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me”. Look what respect God has for you and me, God does not force anyone to come to him, on the contrary he respects us. He knocks on your hearts door and asks if he can come in. If you open and invite to enter, the guest will enter, right? Jesus knocks on the door and waits for the person to open and invite HIM to enter.
Has anyone ever offered you a gift? Yes, someone already has, right? To be able to have this gift, you have to accept it in your heart and extend your arms to receive and take it, right? We receive Salvation this way from God, we must extend our hearts to Him, and receive Him into our life by faith. As long as we do not take the present it is not in our possession and neither the salvation. In John 1:12 we read: “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--". We receive Jesus by faith as already mentioned. Eph. 2:8-9 tells us: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast".
God offers eternal life as a gift to the human being, in one only who is Jesus, the Christ. By one only we fell from Gods´ grace, and by one only Jesus we gained much more back, if we receive it. The fact is that Jesus died in our place to pay the price that had been set against us, this is the gift that God gave us. We receive eternal life with God as we believe in Him and receive Jesus, as our Lord and Saviour. Summarizing all these verses we conclude that receiving Jesus implies recognizing that through our own efforts it is impossible to be regenerated to the state of communion that Adam and Eve enjoyed there in Heaven with God. All this implies in repentance, believing that when Jesus comes into our lives when we receive Him, he paid the ransom on the cross with his own life, which we should have paid.

Salvation Is A Gift From God

We Receive Salvation As A Gift From Our God. You can now receive Jesus right now into your heart through prayer. (To Pray is talking with God). God knows your heart and knows what is going on it right now. He sees your thoughts. The best way to pray is to use your own words to tell Him that you want forgiveness and a fellowship with Him, and invite Him that HE will come to live in your heart and give you eternal life. If, this is your desire to express it in a prayer telling him that you recognize being a sinner, and that you cannot live a holy life without him, handing him your life voluntarily.
If you felt the Holy Spirit inviting you to pray this prayer, make use of the moment and pray now. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms. J
Now that you have received Christ, God gives you the following according to 1 John 5: 11-13 "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life”.
• Christ came into your life. Verify in your Bible = Rv. 3:20 and Cl. 1:27.
• Your sins are forgiven Cl. 1:14
• You became a child of God. Jo. 1:12
You began to live a new life for which God created you: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full". - Jn. 10:10.
• "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come"! - II Co. 5:17.
• "give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". - 1 Ts. 5:18.

7th lesson : God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

THE HUMAN BEING IS SINFUL

Through the first Adam the humanity fell from the grace of God. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord" - Ro. 6:23. "As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one" - Ro. 3:10.

Righteousness through Faith

"But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus"- Ro.3 :21-24
We find in Genesis chapter three, described how the human being listened to the serpent and decided to go after its own way. You know what it means to be a sinner?  To sin according to the dictionary in its original text means "to miss the target". The human being missed the target for which God had created him, as he went after his own understanding. Because this way he would not find eternal life with God his Father, that prepared everything for him. The serpent astutely induced the human being to take their eye of the target, and thus way lose the vision of the eternal missing the target. The serpent affirmed the opposite that God had stated, just to get the humans eyes of the target, and therefore by doing so; the human being fell into this trap.
God said: Gn. 2:15-17: “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die". And the serpent when he talked to Eve stating: "You surely will not die”!  The serpent did not say that God had not said. The serpent said what he wanted the human being to do; the serpent knew of the consequences of this, if they would do what it suggested. When we have an option between what God says and what the enemy says, it is wise to stay on God's side.
Please Read Gn. 3:1-7 “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves”.
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  The serpent spoke what it wanted the human being to do, because in doing so; it knew the consequences of this, if human being would do what it suggested. “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die". And the serpent when she talked to Eve stating: "You surely will not die”!
The serpent quoted God wrong and Eve quoted Him wrong as well. When we have a choice between what God says and what the enemy says, it is wise to stay on God's side. It is essential to make a point of quoting exactly what God really did say, and not hand over our interpretation of what God said. It was exactly in this sentence that the serpent astutely made the human being lose the target in their sight, and decide on what it wanted, switching the eternal happiness for immediate pleasure. It was in their spiritual vision that they lost their target. The focus was on something different now. Instant gratification was what was before their eyes and they lost sight of the eternal goal, and obviously died spiritually. Eve opted for an immediate satisfaction and with it, lost what God had given them; the eternal. God had given instructions to the human being, to work in the garden and he should not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because the day the human being would do so; it would have its consequences.
As Eve heard the snake, she decided to follow that suggestion, and with it fell from Gods’ Grace. The human being as it heard the serpent give its comments, decided to try it out, thus way falling from Gods’ Grace. In Romans 6:23 we read the following about this:  “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. And in the chapter 6:23 we read: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”
Wages of missing the Target, which God had prepared for the creation He made in His Own Image and Likeness. To fall short of God's grace simply means that from that day our wages of sin; or from missing the target; is death.  Adam and Eve before the fall, they enjoyed the most intimate communion with God there in the Garden Eden; but now there was a barrier between them. The spirit of the human being was dead. Now there was a disconnection between the human being and their God; and God had put them out of the Garden Eden. God told the woman he would provide a Savior for the Human Being. But, praise God, this indeed was not the end of a loving story between “God is Love” and the “Human Being” he had created in His Likeness.
"I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" – Gn. 3:15. Here God was referring to the serpent's seed, and you can check this in verse 14, and the seed of the woman. We see this clearly described in the Word of God, the seed of the serpent is the antichrist, and the seed of the woman is Jesus, the Christ. At this very moment God was promising the coming Messiah in the future to save the human being, namely, the second Adam. In the time of grace, that is after Jesus died and resurrected, we celebrate Easter for this reason, Jesus the Christ came to take our place on the cross, thus way justifying us before God. “So the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, so that we might be justified by faith”. Galatians 3:24.
God brought salvation to the human being through the second Adam; Jesus. Take some time to read these verses from the fifth chapter of Romans.
"16 Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.
17  For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18 Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.
19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
20 The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,
21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."- Romans 5: 16-21.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners" Romans 5:8.
“And are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”. Ro. 3:24
“Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.”  Gl. 2:16
Personally I love these passages for the fact that God describes how the spiritual law works in the universe in which we live. In the beginning while there only existed Adam and Eve, the judgment was by one transgression that they had practiced; in fact, resulting in condemnation. But, the free gift came of many offenses unto justification; the free gift came from God, when he sent his son to die for us. In the following verse the Apostle continues on saying: “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ”.
How would you describe yourself, as one already reigning through the one man, Jesus Christ? Or, are we all in the same boat where we need to confess: well, without Jesus, I am still in the realm where death still reigns through one man, which in the beginning sinned; and I did miss the target!!
Many people do not understand why everyone has to suffer on this earth because Adam and Eve erred as they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Erred is a synonym for missing the right choice. By doing what the serpent said, the Human Being missed the eternal blessing what God had prepared for them. One of the things that I understand in this text is the fact that God did not say: "If you eat, you will receive the punishment, and you will die for it".  Now allow me to explain to you my understanding upon this factor. The fact is that the human being was not made like God, in order to be able to support and withstand with the things that belong to God alone. God spoke that as a loving warning, do not do it, because you have been made in my likeness yes, but your structure does not support to enter the knowledge that of a higher level, belonging to me.
God spoke it as a warning: “But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. Do not do it! This, was a command expected to be followed. Yes, the human being was made in Gods´ likeness, but, the human being does not have the structure as His Creator has, therefore they were told: do not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We are not like God; we are made human being, that is the difference. The human beings structure is not able to bear with the consequences of eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. There will be one day in Heaven when it will be given to us the right to eat from the tree. A good example of this would be when a gas company puts up a sign saying: “forbidden to light fire at this location”. Why is it forbidden? Just because they want to prevent others using fire? No! The prohibition is there to prevent a greater disaster; to light a fire at the site produces a vast chaos.
God actually wanted to save the human being from a greater disaster, therefore He made it clear: "And the Lord God took man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"- Gn. 2: 15-17.
God knew the consequence of the fact if the human being would eat “of the tree of knowledge of good and evil”, and God wanted to keep the human being safe from this fall, for this he warned them in advance. God spoke clearly, do not eat, because if you do you will die. This warning from God towards the human being was an Act of Agape Love. If we say to a child do not touch the coals you will get hurt, to warn them is an act of love, to protect the child from getting burnt. The child in this situation does not understand the danger that is contained in all of this but the parents who give the order they know. Similarly was the situation of Eden when God said to the human being. One day in heaven we’ll understand why that tree had to be in the Garden of Eden. But, in my opinion the tree was there to protect the human being. God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, has the knowledge of good and evil; and according to the Scriptures Jesus is the Tree of life. In Revelations it says: “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God”. Re. 2:7  But, in the Garden of Eden the human being did not have the right yet to eat from the tree of life.
It says in John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.  I believe that the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the tree that is mentioned in Revelation; the tree of life which we will get the right to eat from once we overcome. One day for all of us who overcome will be in Paradise with God. Surely Adam and Eve did not understand the shrewdness of the serpent when it tempted them for eternal destruction. The serpent knew that the human being would fall from Gods´ grace, and this would cause spiritual death.
Just as sin reigned in death, so grace reins through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Oh glory, hallelujah. As we have described earlier humans are sinful and fall short of the Gods´ glory, Ro. 3:23; and so they cannot experience or know the love and God's plan for their life, on their own. The human being was created to have perfect relationship with God, but because of their disobedience and rebellion they followed their own path. Resulting therefore; in eternal separation between Man and his God. The relationship fell apart and the human being was now in the state of sin that left him in his indifference towards his God. It was for this reason that God sent his Son to earth to die in our place. As previously mentioned the wages of sin is death according to Ro. 6:23. All this left a large gap between God and man. The only means of reconciliation as the Word of our God teaches us, is by the shedding of blood of a lamb without blemish. The only one who did not have blemish or a stain, as per say, was the very Son of God, Jesus. God searched the land for a righteous, and did not find one, and therefore He sent his beloved son.

“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”.
Hb. 9:22 NIV. This refers to what was written in the laws of Moses in Leviticus. 17:6-16, especially verse 11: “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life”. "As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;" - Ro. 3:10.

We also read in the Psalms as the psalmist expresses himself:
Ps. 53:1-3 “The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one”.
God knew that there was not even one righteous human being that could pay for the atonement for humanities life”, therefore in His Eternal Agape Love He sent His only Son here on earth as a human being to take our place at the altar. The psalmist says: God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
The Bible tells us that Jesus died for us on the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the only solution for man's sin through Him you can know the love and God's plan for your life. Romans 5:8 tells us: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. God created us in love, and when we destroyed ourselves and went after our own path; what did God do? God proves his love, and sends his Son Jesus, the Messiah to take our place for the atonement, because he was without blemish.  Jesus comes and dies in our place. There existed only one reason for all this: The Great Love of Our God for Us; human beings. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin" - 1 Jn. 1:7.
Jesus died and rose from the dead. He is with the Father in glory; he ascended to heaven forty days after he had risen from the dead. "For I delivered unto you first what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures" - 1 Co. 15:3-4. When he states here according to the Scriptures, he was emphasizing the fact that the prophets had foretold this fact. Jesus he is the only way: "Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me" - John 14:6. Through the death of Christ on the cross God has bridged the abyss that separated us from Him by sending His Son to die in our place on the cross there.

6th lesson : God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

Plan Of Salvation

The Plan Of Salvation According To The Bible.

Many people before knowing the Scriptures believe that God’s Salvation Plan started when he sent Jesus on earth to die in our stead. But this is not what the Bible says. The Bible tells us details about the Plan that God hath prepared to have intimate fellowship with those whom he has called children, joint heirs with Christ. Have you ever visualized yourself as a joint-heir together with Jesus of all, that God has created; and as partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel?  Well, we have Gods´ Promise in Scripture that we will receive everything that is prepared for those who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. John 1:12.
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory" - Ro. 8:17.
"This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus" - Eph. 3:6.

Gods’ Love For The Human Being.

God Loves You And Has A Plan Of Salvation For Your Life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16. Christ said: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10.
Jesus left the glory of his kingdom to save us, came to this world to die in our stead. The Triune God loves us with a love so great that it was worth more to come redeem us than staying alone there without us; the human being. Our company is very important for our God, He has an eternal purpose having us together with him. We see how God describes in Genesis that HE came in the garden at twilight to spend time with the human being which he had created. God did invest His Love in this relationship. Hallelujah. What should the human being do to have fellowship with God, to have the life in Christ Jesus; which the Bible describes?
Let's verify the passages where God promises the Messiah to his people:
"So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined” Dn. 9:25-26.
We Have Three Passages That Tell Us That People Recognized The Messiah:
  • The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). Jo. 1:41.
  • "The woman said, "I know that the Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us". John 4:25.
  • God promised he would send the Messiah who would save his people from sin. Let's read in Isaiah chapter 9:6 what it says about the child that was given to God's people. This is the Messiah that is spoken of through the prophet Daniel. "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". J
God had a plan since the beginning to restore this relationship he had established with the Human Being in the Garden of Eden. God created the human being with the ability of choice, and God knew what they would choose. The choice made by Adam and Eve was no surprise to God.  Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground". Gn. 1:26.
God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness” by this sentence we see that this verb is in the imperative, "Let us make", he was not alone, but they were in a meeting and decided to do so. It was the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Triune God decided to make the human being in His image and likeness, and with this God gave the human being the ability to choose. God does not wish a bunch of preset robots to surround and follow Him. Because, with a bunch of preset robots would not be fulfilled His love in creating the human being; and it would not be a Agape Relationship between Him and the human being he created in His Own Image And Likeness. Love is fulfilled only in a relationship. The human being was created with the ability to choose whether he wanted to love, or not; God will never force anyone to love Him. Yes, God knew that humans would use this choice to go after their own understanding. But, way before God made the human being, He already had the Plan to send his Beloved Son into this world to rescue the human being; and the Prophets are used to announce it to Humanity.
The Author (Holy Spirit) of the Letter to the Hebrews writes:  “Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.' "First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” - Hb. 10:5-10.
God wanted the human being to have the option to follow their own choice; but also, that they would come to an understanding that their choice separated them from God. For them to understand that they were wrong in their choice and had the option to return to the love of God. Wrong in this perspectives means; by following their own way, they would never receive all the blessings which were prepared in the life with “God is Love”.  This was the High Purpose God had for the human being to have a loving relationship with Him.
God shows us very clearly through the letters of the Apostle Paul that He prepared a beautiful plan for us. In Romans 5 it talks about the first Adam who sinned in Eden, and the second Adam, who came as the Messiah to save the world. It was this Messiah that is mentioned in Romans 5; who was prepared as a body to do the will of God. Jesus came into this world to take up our cross and redeem us back; justifying us thus way before God the Father. He paid the price that was stipulated against us. We inherited death with the fact that we followed our own path, doing what was contrary to the will of God. The first Adam ate from the tree that he was told, you shall not eat of this tree.
