Plan
Of Salvation
The Plan Of
Salvation According To The Bible.
Many people
before knowing the Scriptures believe that God’s Salvation Plan started when he
sent Jesus on earth to die in our stead. But this is not what the Bible says.
The Bible tells us details about the Plan that God hath prepared to have
intimate fellowship with those whom he has called children, joint heirs with
Christ. Have you ever visualized yourself as a joint-heir together with Jesus
of all, that God has created; and as partakers of His promise in Christ through
the gospel? Well, we have Gods´ Promise
in Scripture that we will receive everything that is prepared for those who
receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. John 1:12.
"Now
if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,
if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his
glory" - Ro. 8:17.
"This
mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel,
members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ
Jesus" - Eph. 3:6.
Gods’ Love For The Human Being.
God
Loves You And Has A Plan Of Salvation For Your Life.
"For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16. Christ said:
"I have come that they may have
life, and have it to the full” John 10:10.
Jesus left
the glory of his kingdom to save us, came to this world to die in our stead.
The Triune God loves us with a love so great that it was worth more to come
redeem us than staying alone there without us; the human being. Our company is
very important for our God, He has an eternal purpose having us together with
him. We see how God describes in Genesis that HE came in the garden at twilight
to spend time with the human being which he had created. God did invest His
Love in this relationship. Hallelujah. What should the human being do to have
fellowship with God, to have the life in Christ Jesus; which the Bible
describes?
Let's
verify the passages where God promises the Messiah to his people:
"So you are to know and discern that from
the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the
Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks; it will be built again,
with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Then after the sixty-two weeks
the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who
is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with
a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined” Dn.
9:25-26.
We Have
Three Passages That Tell Us That People Recognized The Messiah:
- The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). Jo. 1:41.
- "The woman said, "I know that the Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us". John 4:25.
- God promised he would send the Messiah who would save his people from sin. Let's read in Isaiah chapter 9:6 what it says about the child that was given to God's people. This is the Messiah that is spoken of through the prophet Daniel. "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". J
God had a
plan since the beginning to restore this relationship he had established with
the Human Being in the Garden of Eden. God created the human being with the
ability of choice, and God knew what they would choose. The choice made by Adam
and Eve was no surprise to God. Then God
said, "Let us make man in our image,
in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of
the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures
that move along the ground". Gn. 1:26.
God said,
"Let us make man in our image, in our likeness” by this sentence we see
that this verb is in the imperative, "Let us make", he was not alone,
but they were in a meeting and decided to do so. It was the Triune God: Father,
Son and Holy Spirit. The Triune God decided to make the human being in His
image and likeness, and with this God gave the human being the ability to
choose. God does not wish a bunch of preset robots to surround and follow Him.
Because, with a bunch of preset robots would not be fulfilled His love in
creating the human being; and it would not be a Agape Relationship between Him
and the human being he created in His Own Image And Likeness. Love is fulfilled
only in a relationship. The human being was created with the ability to choose
whether he wanted to love, or not; God will never force anyone to love Him.
Yes, God knew that humans would use this choice to go after their own
understanding. But, way before God made the human being, He already had the
Plan to send his Beloved Son into this world to rescue the human being; and the
Prophets are used to announce it to Humanity.
The Author
(Holy Spirit) of the Letter to the Hebrews writes: “Therefore,
when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did
not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin
offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me
in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.' "First he said,
"Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not
desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to
be made). Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He
sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been
made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” - Hb.
10:5-10.
God wanted
the human being to have the option to follow their own choice; but also, that
they would come to an understanding that their choice separated them from God. For
them to understand that they were wrong in their choice and had the option to
return to the love of God. Wrong in this perspectives means; by following their
own way, they would never receive all the blessings which were prepared in the
life with “God is Love”. This was the
High Purpose God had for the human being to have a loving relationship with Him.
God shows
us very clearly through the letters of the Apostle Paul that He prepared a
beautiful plan for us. In Romans 5 it talks about the first Adam who sinned in
Eden, and the second Adam, who came as the Messiah to save the world. It was
this Messiah that is mentioned in Romans 5; who was prepared as a body to do
the will of God. Jesus came into this world to take up our cross and redeem us
back; justifying us thus way before God the Father. He paid the price that was
stipulated against us. We inherited death with the fact that we followed our
own path, doing what was contrary to the will of God. The first Adam ate from
the tree that he was told, you shall not eat of this tree.
